HRIM's HRIP Certification Exam Review Course is being offered as a 6-part live and prerecorded, webinar series. All sessions are scheduled for 75 minutes and will begin at 10:00 am Pacific, 11:00 am Mountain, 12:00 pm Central, 1:00 pm Eastern. The online series will be held*:

Thursday, November 7  Part 2 - Technology Support of HR Business Processes

Several registration options are available and can be viewed under the Registration section.  All options include the 6-part live webinar series, the HRIP Certification Study Guide (electronic version) and access to the course recordings for 1 year. 

The Human Resource Information Professional (HRIP) certification exam is designed to assess the knowledge and competencies of professionals in the HR technology field. Passing the exam indicates a demonstrated comprehensive understanding and proficiency of the defined body of knowledge in HR information management.  This course is designed to help candidates review for the HRIP certification exam. It is not intended to replace professional experience or other sources of achieving professional competence.  The key topics and terminology in each of the four (4) main knowledge areas will be covered.

The four (4) main knowledge areas measured by the examination:

  • Technology Strategy and Solution Assessment
    This topic area focuses on determining business needs when creating strategic plans for the design and deployment of Human Resource technology and service delivery models for the enterprise.
  • HR Technology and Business Processes
    This topic area focuses on the technologies and HR processes that support HR service delivery, and the use and advantages of technology and systems throughout the HR function.
  • Systems Selections, Implementations and Upgrades
    This topic area focuses on systems selection, implementation and upgrade methodologies and best practices to keep HR systems plans on track and improve chances for success.
  • HR Systems Operations
    This topic area focuses on the ongoing processes involved in HR systems management, maintenance and operational considerations.

Who Gains the Most from Participating in this Series?
The HR Professional with 3-5 years experience in HR Technology who is considering taking the certification examination, but unsure if they have the breadth of knowledge needed to pass the HRIP Certification Examination. The HR Professional with 5 or more years of experience in HR Technology who is considering taking the certification examination, and is looking to refresh their knowledge on one or more areas tested.
